Covenant Hills Christian Camp (Vermont)

Provided summer fun and round the clock support for campers with varied needs and life stages. I served on a different camp program with new groups of kids every week and worked with a small team of colleagues from the USA, UK and Czech Republic. This experience gave me a good insight of what it is like to live and work in another country. Working abroad was a great way to get a deeper sense of other cultures, traditions and values as well as planting the seed for some lifelong friendships.Before flying home at the end of the summer, I joined a Trek America tour from San Francisco to Los Angeles via Las Vegas and the Yosemeti and Grand Canyon National Parks.**I have also served in similar volunteering roles at Christian Summer Camps in the UK, i.e. Holiday Bible Clubs at Church (several years), Kings Cross Scripture Union Camp on the Isle of Arran (2011) and Port St Mary Beach Mission on the Isle of Man (2011)**
