Working with Dr. Alberto Martin and Dr. Sami Mamand to investigate the role RASA2 and RASA3 genes have in class switch recombination of B cells through negative regulation of TGF-B, IL4, and CD40 signalling pathways. Techniques include:- CRISPR/Cas9 lentivirus cell transduction; cell culturing- RNA extraction/purification- Polymerase chain reaction (PCR); gel electrophoresis; PCR product purification- Mismatch cleavage assay- Cytokine Release Assay (CRA); Flow cytometry (symphony 9)- qPCRParticipated in the Immunology Summer Student Program (ISSRP) and received the University of Toronto Excellence Award (UTEA) and NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA) while in the position.

- Conduct DNA extractions of samples (including B. abortus samples and mice lung tissue)- Follow and conduct protocols for experiments - silver-staining protocol, RT-qPCR, nanopore sequencing, etc.- Operate lab equipment used in protocols and to analyze samples (including Illumina MiSeq System, Qubit Fluorometer, E-Gel Power Snap Electrophoresis Device, Nanodrop One, Gel Doc XR+ Gel Documentation System, etc.)- Verify calibration of pipettes using Calibry software

- Tutor French, English, and Math at elementary/middle school level- Connect with student virtually, three times a week for 1-2 hour sessions- Create lesson plans and assignments for each session- Help with homework in different subjects

- Update social media platforms regularly to promote buying local- Create aesthetically pleasing social media posts- Sales pitch to different businesses to partner with- Create social media giveaways to increase interactivity- Communicate with team members and initiative sponsors
