-Designed and conducted custom research to derive meaningful insights that improved clients' businesses and people's experiences. -Employed social science methods to study the human drivers that draw people to brands, products, and services.-Research topics included identity, morality, gender, culture, politics, entertainment, fandom, technology, religion.

- Collaborated with user experience design team to create data-driven personas and "Day in the Life" user technology journeys that informed the evolution of the NBC App across platforms.- Employed a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including interviews, surveys, videotaped home observations, and in-home usability testing to understand target consumers’ needs, values, and behaviors in relation to technology, design, and brand.-Presented research findings to stakeholders across UX design, product marketing, and product engagement teams.

- Collected and analyzed qualitative and quantitative data for Research & Insights during a year-long study of fans and fandom. - Research methods used to examine the factors driving audience behavior and brand loyalty included digital ethnography, quantitative surveys, and personal narrative analysis.- Moderated focus groups to study links between fandom, identity, morality and social connections. - Synthesized research findings across data sets to produce insights for client-facing reports.- Worked closely with video editors to create video storytelling for client-facing reports.

An interdisciplinary and cross-cultural study examining how parents and their children approach the challenges of balancing the demands of work, school, and family life. Working with anthropologists across subfields, as well as psychologists and sociologists, I documented a week in the life of 32 Los Angeles middle-class households, conducted extensive videorecordings and linguistic analyses of family communication, interviewed adults and children on topics such as health, education, and social networks, collected self-narrated videorecorded home tours from participants, used the ethnoarchaeological methods of tracking participants through time and space to study social cohesion, and used the psychological method of measuring cortisol levels to test stress levels of family members. As part of the project, I studied the social construction of childhood and the social and emotional coordination involved in raising children across middle class families in Rome and Los Angeles. Primary responsibilities included collecting and managing ethnographic video data, collecting photographic and scan-sampling data, authoring working papers and articles, conducting qualitative data analysis, hiring, supervising and training undergraduate researchers in ethnographic methods
