Heather Meitner, MSW is the Child Welfare Practice & TDM Manager at Evident Change, formerly the NCCD Children’s Research Center. In her role she works globally with child welfare organizations as a trainer and consultant on their implementation of strength and safety-organized practice skills and their integration of those skills with the Structured Decision Making® (SDM) system and initial removal and placement change Team Decision Making (TDM). Heather is a licensed social worker residing in Boston. She has worked in the human services and child welfare fields for 25 years in multiple capacities including direct service, management, training and consultation. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Gordon College and a Masters degree in Social Work from Salem State University.Heather’s passion for building relationships and connecting with her audience is contagious. She is an expert in building training programs with varied methodologies to meet the needs of adult learners. She conducts workshops nationally on integrated child welfare practice, diversity & equity, multiculturalism, change management, organizational development, coaching and facilitation skills for staff of all levels.
