My responsibilities included:Leading the Corporate Records Management function in QPS.Developing and delivering training for QPS staff in records management policies, practices and software. System administration of the Objective electronic and document management system (eDRMS), including creation and maintenance of user profiles, thesaurus terms, retention and disposal schedules, file and document prefixes, action officer codes, passwords, security levels, user privileges, group allocation and home locations.Developing, implementing and maintaining State-wide records management policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.Providing specialist strategic advice to the QPS Senior Executive on compliant recordkeeping.Providing expert records management advice to QPS business units on request, including the design and implementation of filing systems. Providing professional guidance to records managers across QPS. Coordinating change management processes to ensure a smooth implementation of Corporate Records Management software across QPS.Ongoing development and maintenance of the QPS Business Classification Scheme and QPS Records Retention and Disposal Schedule.Developing and maintaining sound client relationships and marketing the opportunities and benefits of corporate records management.Developing and maintaining professional networks with the Queensland State Archivist and records managers in other State, inter-state and Commonwealth agencies.Representing QPS at Whole-of-Government committees dealing with strategic recordkeeping issues. Leading and managing a team of up to 18 members.
