Perform nursing assessments, medicine administration and reconciliation, tracheostomy care and respiratory treatments, PEG care and administration of enteral nutrition, wound/ostomy care, continence rehabilitation and education, and patient and family discharge planning.December 2012: Contracted at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. Performed a comprehensive range of clinical functions on this 30-bed pre/post-surgical acute care unit. Assessed patients’ medical conditions, pre-operative preparedness, post-operative status. Performed wound care and assessment, administered oral and IV infusion medications, maintained patient charts, responded to patient education needs.

Provide nursing care for patients with severe brain injuries, acute debility, neuromuscular disease, and orthopedic injury, who are receiving intensive speech, occupational, and physical therapy on this 24-bed acute care unit.
