Being in a smaller company, I have the unique opportunity to cover a broad range of tasks from business analysis to making the changes in the system to better our processes. I feel most satisfied by my position when I am able to improve a process or increase an individual's efficiency and confidence. I enjoy getting to the heart of an issue rather than looking at the symptoms. My creative but systematic thinking and ability to quickly understand concepts allows me to look beyond what is being requested for what the real need is. Currently, I make programming modifications to reports and EDI mappers in PICK BASIC. I work with multiple third party vendors to implement their tools in our environment. I do internal training on subjects like Excel and our system reporting to make our associates more self reliant. I support our ERP and work with the vendor to work through bugs and improve our processes. I modify reports in Crystal reports for our helpdesk reporting. I troubleshoot reported issues to determine if it is a system issue or a breakdown in process. I modify and support our internal Sharepoint website which supports our company. When processes are being reviewed or new components added, I am typically brought in to consult internally. I love working in IT since it is never boring and I am finding that much of the business analysis that I do is really exciting considering the impact it can have on a company.
