Mechanical Engineer designing combined cycle power plants on EPC projects.

I worked on various government projects with a focus on facility design and mechanical system design. I have experience with working on projects with government classifications such as FOUO. I was responsible for Engine Coolant System for a Diesel Generator and compressed air system. I Developed and issued piping and instrument diagrams and calculations for the equipment sizing. Coordinated my work with mechanical drafters, electrical engineers, and I&C engineers.Performed project-wide quality assurance reviews on piping and instrument diagrams and cost estimates. Coordinated and maintained a project wide database for equipment estimates for client. I helped lead mechanical engineers design HVAC for facility design. I created airflow diagrams, updated HVAC equipment calculations, sized diffusers/registers/grilles. I have used the ASHRAE 62.1 Ventilation Calculation. I have worked with Trane Trace 700 Models. I have selected HVAC Equipment with Trane TOPPS program.

I was responsible for the Turbine-Generator Auxiliary Systems design for the GE ESBWR design certification. These systems were: Turbine Gland Seals System; Turbine Lubricating Oil System; and Turbine Hydraulics System.I developed and issued preliminary system design specifications, piping and instrument diagrams, and equipment sizing calculations. I assisted the Project Discipline Engineer with input to creating the project schedule. I performed design verification for mechanical system calculation and system design specifications. I reviewed vendor drawings and piping and instrument drawings. I was a communications coordinator between GE and Black and Veatch on my responsible systems. I coordinated my responsible system interface issues between GE and Black & Veatch. I also coordinated my work with mechanical drafters, electrical engineers, and I&C engineers. I am knowledgable on nuclear industry standards and codes.

Responsible for the Compressed Air System; Plant Cooling Water System; and Potable Water Systems. For these systems I made calculations for sizing equipment and pipe and created piping and instrumation diagrams. I also maintained BOQ lists for all piping segments, piping components, and equipment. I Coordinated my work with mechanical drafters, electrical engineers and I&C engineers. I was also contract administrator for the Compressed Air Equipment, Heat Exchangers, and ball valves. I completed a competitive bid assessment for each contract, each resulting in contracts awarded under budget. I reviewed vendor drawings for compliance to specifications and technical standards.
