A change agent with a collaborative leadership style that bridges practices and policy, as well as aligns interventions and outcomes to drive change. Nonprofit executive that identifies core issues, rallies strategic partners, communicates seamlessly between all different audiences to move initiatives forward, is outcomes focused, and holds a deep belief in mentoring and team development. Professional experience spans more than fifteen years in the non-profit community serving at the local, regional, and national levels of healthcare not for profits. Versatile and strategic leader with a keen ability to leverage insights and analysis to build mission programs with maximum impact performing at high levels of effectiveness and efficiency. These skills have played out over time in a career focused on systems and operations improvement; training and leadership development; strategic grant making; advocacy; resource development and community engagement. Currently serving as the President and CEO of Prevent Blindness Texas tasked with overhauling entire the brand and operations of a statewide nonprofit. I am focused on leading a team across Texas to elevate vision care, improve overall health, deliver preventative screenings, navigate clients to resources, educate individuals about risk and advocate for improved access to care for clients. At HSP Services, LLC, I managed my own consulting practice focused on working with non-profit organizations to increase revenue, build sustainability, leverage programs, maximize talent and capitalize on strategic partnerships. During that time, I worked with organizations such as C-Change to design and execute strategies that leveraged the resources (human and financial capital) of national and local organizations and community leaders to advance tobacco-control and HPV advocacy campaigns and policies across multiple states. At the Lymphoma Research Foundation, $10M annual budget, I designed and implemented a national strategy for community engagement, including a rebrand activity, a turnaround staffing structure and partnership and media development for local and regional markets. This resulted in a dynamic and integrated approach to volunteer management and engagement, fundraising, and organizational awareness. For Susan G. Komen, $400M annual budget, my efforts spanned the local and national efforts. Of note, was my work in leading 118 Affiliates through a restructure impacting governance, structure and fundraising; this strategic imperative was conceived and executed within 18 months, on budget.
