My life has always been about people and inspiring them. While in college, I discovered that I wanted to be a teacher, and I pursued that path. I graduated with my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education with Presidential Honors. Eventually, my career path changed and I got into Customer Service as an Administrative Assistant for 19 years. I even became the Regional Administrative Manager for 7 offices in 4 states. While in that roll, I was able to build team work and positive work environments with my administrative staff by having fun monthly competitions with other offices. My team won more competitions than the other offices and we had less turn over ratings with my administrative staff. Having the opportunity to assist customers and my coworkers, and give them the best possible service they deserved, has been very fulfilling. I have always been curious about computers and computer programs, and as an Administrative Assistant, I got to pair my love of people and my love of computer technology in my daily life. I have enjoyed learning about the programs I use and how they could make my life and my teams life easier. I have been using MS Office for 19 years, and in 2016 I took some time to go to Delaware Technical Community College to take computer classes to further my computer knowledge. I successfully received my certificates in Word, Excel, Quick books and Project. Since then, I have become proficient in Power Point as well as Prezi. My path has again turned and I am teaching again. I teach computer classes to my students and help build their computer knowledge so they can be more successful in their own lives and careers.
