At the Discovery Cube of Orange County, my primary responsibility is managing the Field Trip and Birthday Teams comprised of 18 members. The Field Trip Team is responsible for leading a structured group field trip that includes a science demonstration. As the Field Trip Lead, I oversee the day’s field trip schedules, keep the teams on schedule, come up with solutions, arise, step in to perform demonstrations as needed, and communicate instructions to my team. The Birthday team attends to the private birthday parties by working with the party host and making sure all needs are met, and leading a mini science workshop. While the Birthday team is in the room with the party, my responsibility is to make sure everything runs smoothly, including check-in, food delivery, balance payments, party activities, and communicating with my team to make sure that everything is going well. When I am not leading the Field Trip and Birthday teams, I perform a variety of tasks, including promoting upgrades from a ticket to an annual membership, performing staged shows, and attending to customer satisfaction. My favorite experience at the Cube is the Gazillion Bubbles Show, where I frequently perform as opener where I pump up a live audience of up to 400 people and advertise upcoming events.Over the last couple years, I have volunteered on 12 street teams for Subkulture Entertainment, Studio PAV,and MyMusicTaste. These companies specialize in bringing K-Pop talent to the US on concert tours. As a Street Team leader/member, I promote upcoming concerts by advertising on social media platforms, hanging posters at local businesses, coordinating distribution meetings, and advising fellow Street Team members. My contributions include devising creative ways to promote upcoming tours and local concerts, finding local events that fit the K-Pop demographic, and cultivating local contacts interested in promoting K-Pop concerts. I have led two of the street teams. Also, I volunteer at some of the concerts that I have promoted, where some of my tasks have included selling merchandise, working with the artists during fan engagements, wristbanding, and performing other tasks as requested.
