I lead Tiller customers to success by developing and implementing strategy for the most engaging onboarding experience. I analyze and leverage our customer feedback to help build a better product. I ensure customers get helpful and timely answers to their questions about how to use Tiller. I guide other Tiller CS team members to success within Tiller by providing a constructive and engaging framework for being a highly effective and engaged support specialist.

I work with a variety of small businesses from startups to established companies and organizations. I am to grow and improve their online presence, build trust in their brand and ensure their customers have a great experience. I also provide event planning and management services for select organizations and events including festivals and social events.

After transitioning TCI to Office 365 I took on the task of organizing our company's wealth of knowledge into a user friendly and efficient experience through the use of SharePoint online. I have developed training materials to educate employees on the new tools, and am actively working to transition users to this new platform. I provide regular updates on progress that is being made and other changes to expect. While being spread across various physical locations, I hope to inspire others to utilize the power these tools give us to collaborate and interact in a more engaging manner. It is an ongoing, but exciting process for which I hope the outcome will be a more productive and cohesive community at TCI.

In addition to my User Experience Architect expertise at TCI I have been in the Network Administrator position since Nov 2013. With no prior background or training in network administration, I have successfully learned all necessary aspects of providing IT support to our domain, maintaining several servers, and transitioning our company communications from an on-premise environment to Office 365.

While working on TCI's largest software development project, I was responsible for ensuring that our customer's software development requirements were met. In order to make this happen I analyzed requirements (given to us by the government), gathered questions and initial information, met with experts to fully understand the requirement, wrote user scenarios, mocked up user interaction diagrams and interfaces, got consensus on the ideas, then clearly communicated this to my team so they could do the code magic. I also coordinated user testing and feedback sessions, visited users in their "natural" environment, and took lessons learned back to the team to further improve the product. I organized and planned our iterative schedule for each month to ensure that all requirements were met within the project schedule. I coordinated workshops each week to communicate the scenario requirements to the team in order to come up with a solution that meets the needs of the user and is technically possible. I had no prior knowledge or experience with the subject matter of the software. I have also worked on "side" mobile application projects to design user interaction and interfaces as well as a functioning HTML5 prototypes. I am the social media coordinator for the company, which had no social presence when I started working here. I have established a social media policy, procedure, best practices, training materials in addition to conducting training sessions. I established a presence on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Yammer for the company. I started at TCI with an Internship to rebuild TCI's website. The project included completely reorganizing and assessing the current site's content and working with many teams across multiple locations to create new and relevant content. Overall, the site needed to provide a friendly user experience, get the proper information out there, reflect the TCI brand.

I work on a team to improve the web sites of University Unions as well create innovating projects to better the JMU experience. My roll is to provide usability and interface design feedback about web sites and potential projects. Additionally, I assist with information architecture construction and gain essential feedback by mediating focus groups.

I reorganized the content for the Health Center Web site Spring Semester 2009 and have maintained a position of keeping the web site updated.

As a Student Consultant I was responsible for assisting JMU Faculty and Staff that came into the CIT walk-in area. Assisting them involved scanning documents, editing photos, answering questions, and training them to use various software programs to create classroom materials such as Microsoft Office, Blackboard, Adobe Photoshop, and others. Additionally, faculty and staff would often bring in videos they needed edited and transcoded for class lectures. The programs I used to accomplish this were Final Cut Pro, Episode, Vidi, iDVD, and iMovie. Additionally, I assisted the CIT faculty with other projects where needed.

Summer Conferencing is a fast paced and intensely busy time when outside groups come to JMU to use our facilities. As a Conference Administrator I was in charge of organizing, keeping track, and planning logistical details about the dining meal plan, parking, transportation, conference card for building access, and billing of each group that came to JMU during May through August 2008. However, this would not be possibly without effective teamwork among the group of eight or so Conference Assistants that I worked closely with over the four months.

I did a complete redesign of the Town of Elkton, VA web site coding the web site in Adobe Dreamweaver and using CSS for all design elements. I worked extensively with town officials and trained the person that is now in charge of the web site how to use Adobe Dreamweaver to do basic updates and edits.
