Managing the research and writing of the biography of Claire Adams Mackinnon, conducting interviews and primary research in North American and Australian archives to reconstruct the significant Hollywood career of this fascination yet forgotten silent film star who lived the last half of her life in Australia. Made an Honorary Research Associate (History) of the Natural History Museum of LA County, holders of the world's largest collection of early Hollywood heritage objects. Shortlisted for the 2011 Hazel Rowley Literary Fellowship for Australian biographers.

Currently engaged to investigate cultural heritage tourism opportunities using a creative industries approach for the Legatus Group of SA Regional Councils. My doctoral research investigated the value and meaning delivered by the State Library of South Australia, how it contributes to community cohesion and identity as well as its active role as part of the North Terrace Cultural Precinct. Conversations are underway to convert this work into a popular book.

Stepping into the largely pro bono role as a Board Member, I was charged with a simple job description: Make AFoI2016 Happen. This encapsulated everything from formulating a strategic partnership strategy, project management of delivery of all aspects of the festival from production to speaker selection and liaison, informing the curatorial direction of the program to capitalise on partner opportunities, strategic comms, budget and banking, recruiting and coordinating the team responsible for production, publicity, social media, volunteers and finance.

Designed, developed and delivered Australia's longest running ideas festival, working with 130-ish speakers and MCs from around the world across every discipline, covering keynotes, forums and special events over three days and four nights in October 2013. Working alongside my Festival Director and CEO, we handled everything from concept through to conclusion, now settling the financials, compiling the reports and planning the future.

Researching and addressing issues related to quality assurance, licensing, communications and project planning for the KB:NG (aka FUSE) digitial delivery project as part of a State and Federal government strategy to provide safe, targetted and accessible online education content for all schools in Victoria, free of charge. Extensive involvement with communications, project planning and consultation across all levels of several government departments and external stakeholders, establishing and refining functional design specs, impact at school level and professional development for teachers to ensure maximum uptake.

Project Managing the research, writing, development, design, publication and distribution of the new Retail Standards and Procedures Manual for the Lotteries Commission of WA. Involving consultation and liaison across the organisation to ensure consistency of process and compliance with statutory licensing requirements, branding consistency and clarity.

I designed and delivered an exhibition and event program that drew over 170,000 participants. I also managed all communications for this program, researching and writing promotional and media text whilst managing exhibition requirements. My most significant achievement, and proudest, was improving relations between the festival organization and external stakeholders, reopening communication channels and clarifying expectations.

Initially contracted to manage the travel and daily operations of the travelling exhibition, I was later also charged with implementing the education and volunteer programs, liaising with several host venues and community groups across Australia whilst based with the exhibition on the road. A wonderful and exhausting experience, promoting human rights to school children and celebrating the difference one person can make in the face of adversity.

Ensured the amalgamation of policy and process of this external literacy and marketing program into the process and administrative functions of the State Library of Victoria. The role also included extensive marketing and communications publications as well as regular event coordination, liaising with schools, authors and publishers across Australia.

Designed, promoted and implemented the regular series of interpretive events for the Members Program of the National Gallery of Victoria. Also took responsibility for reviewing and managing the compilation and distribution of the Calendar of Events.
