I used to be a Client Accounts Representative. After 20 years in the accounting field with no career advancements in sight at my job at that time, I wanted to return to college to get a degree in a field I enjoyed. I went to college right out of high school to pursue an accounting degree, I knew that wasn’t what I wanted to continue doing. I wasn’t sure exactly what I would pursue a degree in until a colleague of mine asked me what I enjoyed learning about in my high school and college career. During the conversation with my colleague, I realized as a young child I enjoyed drawing. I specifically enjoyed drawing floorplans in high school, so I decided to pursue a degree in Design Technology. Here I am 4 years later, and 1 month from getting my Associates of Applied Science in Design Technology.I have been blessed with a great CAD Drafting position at a team driven Fiber Optic Placement company, prior to getting my degree! I love applying what I have learned throughout my college career to the projects at my current job & I have never been happier. I feel like my degree & being a member of Psi Theta Kappa will continue to open doors of opportunity to me not only professionally but personally as well.My specialties include learning new skills, problem-solving, communicating within a team to understand the project at hand to make it the best it can be for the clients we serve, fluent in Microsoft Office Suite, data entry & 10 key data entry, AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, Slack, Monday.com, and Canvas.
