It is critical as a project manager that I have an intensive knowledge of public land management concepts, principles, practices and procedures along with applicable laws, regulations, and case law in order to provide professional advice to managers and a scientific staff. Manage the cost recovery account, for the CCSM project, that exceeds one million dollars. Track all expenditures for the project including the time billed by over twenty employees, travel, and equipment purchased. Work with the project proponent and their contractors to insure efficiency, coordination and collaboration is occurring through my applied knowledge of managerial and administrative theory, practices, methods, and procedures.Apply expert knowledge of the theories and principles of terrestrial and aquatic ecology related to the interrelated management of vegetative communities, threatened and endangered species and wildlife. Review and assess impacts from projects to the environment, and disclose those impacts to all resources. Produce briefing papers for the Washington Office, State Office and District Office. Coordinate with the BLM Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), District Office, Wyoming State Office and Washington office. Conduct cooperator meetings, public meeting and congressional staff briefings. Manage Resource Management Plan (RMP) Amendments. Lead point of contact for the Rawlins Field Office for four large powerline projects. These powerline projects include the Transwest Express, Gateway West, Gateway South, and the Zephyr powerlines.

Supervisory Environmental Coordinator

I worked as the Supervisory Environmental Coordinator for the Brush Creek/ Hayden Ranger District in the Medicine Bow-Route National Forests. In this position I was responsible for complying with all aspects of the Nation Environmental Policies ACT (NEPA) and the primary author for all the projects occurring on the district. I was the primary project coordinator on the district and my responsibilities include managing the Interdisciplinary Teams (IDTs), and maintaining the project records. The documents that I was responsible for included, Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Environmental Assessment (EA), Categorical Exclusions (CE), meeting notes, directions to the ID team, and project public Notices. I developed timelines for the IDT, insure conformance with the Forest Plan, and updating information on the Schedule of Proposed Actions (SOPA). I developed internal guidance to improve IDTs efficiencies. I was the project lead on the Savery EIS which includes, timber salvage operations, recreation management, travel management, prescribed burning, and aspen habitat regeneration. I lead and organize all aspects of the planning process which included incorporating all issues and concerns of the IDT members and finding solutions to conflicts. I participated in public meetings and coordinated with other agencies and the public. I completed NEPA documents for temporary road closures, weather monitoring sites, highway reconstruction, and administrative sites modifications. I completed road closure written orders, which included writing an Enforcement Plan, Closure Order, Civil Rights Impact Analysis, Assessment of Need and Decision Memo.

As Rangeland Management Specialist in the Rawlins Field Office (RFO), I implemented the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process from project scoping to final implementation. I authored Environmental Assessments (EA) for vegetation treatments, and range improvements. I co-authored Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) for non-renewable energy development. I managed projects from initial planning through implementation while adhering to BLM laws, regulations, and policies. I consulted with BLM Interdisciplinary team members and outside agencies on NEPA documents.I implemented range health standards, and administration responsibility on over a hundred allotments. From the data collected I developed reports that guidance management decisions. I developed grazing Allotment Management Plans (AMPs) in conjunction with permittees. These management plans address soil erosion, livestock management, wildlife habitat, and vegetation health.
