Since joining Flavin Architects in 2013 Heather has risen from Senior Designer to Principal. She has designed and managed several of the firm’s award winning and published projects. One of Heather’s most valued contributions begins with the ability to form a relationship with the client and understand their intentions, in order to mold the project in a way that best elevates their way of living. Heather’s background of a modern urban focused education and her professional career in traditional residential has afforded her the opportunity to explore a larger spectrum of design and construction methods. Her contribution to the firm extends beyond her design projects as she is additionally involved in the marketing and promotion of Flavin Architects.Heather received her Master of Architecture from the School of Architecture at Northeastern University, graduating magna cum laude in 2009. She also received her Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University, graduating cum laude with a minor in History. She gained practical experience as a Junior Designer at a small architectural firm in Rhode Island that specializes in custom New England Shingle style residential projects. Prior to joining Flavin Architects, Heather held a dual role of Designer and Construction Administrator for a Boston-based design-build company.
