Manage the day to day running of a 25 bed dementia care unit. Supporting staff members, residents and family members as they navigate the highs and lows of living with dementia

As a CASA volunteer I gather and assess factual information regarding abused and neglected children. The key components of my role is to conduct an independent investigation of the facts surrounding the case, advocate on behalf of the child, determine the best interests of the child and remain actively involved until the case is formally dismissed by the court.

Worked with State Regulators and Department Heads to ensure State Regulations were inplace, up to date and implemented at all times.• Worked as part of a team with other health care professionals to ensure correctplacement and appropriate care was given at all times.• Assisted and monitored the new residents' placement helping them to settle into theirnew environment.• Held Alzheimer's Support Group every month for family members and the general public.The Support Group was affiliated with the Maryland Alzheimer's Association.• Acted as advocate for residents and family members to ensure any complaints or concernswere dealt with and resolved in a timely manner.

Care coordination of 120-bed assisted living and dementia care community. · Supervised, hired, trained, and scheduled, 25 certified nurse assistants. · Maintained Individualized Service Plans for each resident in assisted living accordingto state regulations and best practices. · Met with family members formally and informally as part of the ISP process.· Remained at or below budget. · Ensured resident satisfaction in all areas of service delivery. · Transitioned residents to dementia care through the ISP process in collaboration withappropriate department heads.
