My career focuses on global health, international development and public policy - aiming to improve the lives of individuals around the world through creative and strategic solutions to critical problems. Check out our website at https://cure.ncats.ioI am now working as a Public Health Analyst in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research at the FDA. I am excited to be focusing on projects to improve drug development prospects and access to treatment for neglected tropical diseases and other infectious and neglected conditions. I recently completed my Masters in Public Health, concentrating in Epidemiology at UMD SPH. My thesis focused on factors associated with tuberculosis outcomes in a district in Himachal Pradesh, Northern India, based upon my collaborative work with Lady Willingdon Hospital Manali.My area of interest is in global health and especially the cycle between extreme poverty and infectious diseases. I come from a background in Anthropology and Development Studies and approach issues of global health and development from a holistic perspective, seeking to understand the many complex connections and interactions between social and biological sciences. My regional focus is primarily South Asia, although I also have experience in Subsaharan Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean.I intend to work for the next two years while I complete the remaining pre-requisite courses required for medical school.
