In this role, I worked with an amazing staff to plan over 30 undergraduate orientation programs a year; including our main campus, student educational centers, and online orientation. We held a pre-matriculation extended orientation retreat called Shark Camp and serve as advocates for the commuter population encouraging them to get connected to their university. My favorite part of the job was the selection and training of orientation team members. The many students whom I have met along the way of enriched my professional experience and personal life. During my time in this role, I advised Sigma Delta Tau and the Finatics spirit club on campus. I treasured the role of helping students and families make a smooth transition into college life and then assisting the students as they discover their potential.

Served as the advisor for the student programming board, helped to manage the on-campus pub the Flight Deck along with the Student Union building operations. Promoted to the Director of Orientation, still within the Division of Student Affairs, after six months at the University.

Within this position I was responsible for the undergraduate orientation program, family weekend, and publications such as the Parent Guide and Student Planner. This position also oversaw the commuter services such as roommate matching, off-campus housing fairs and commuter specific orientations/programs. I also had the pleasure of serving as the advisor to the Elections Commission, a co-advisor for the Student Government Association, Category 5 the student pep-club, the advisor for KAOS the student hip-hop dance club and as an official chaperone for student trips to major away football games.
