About Heather Susek

“Exercise and recreation are as necessary as reading. I will rather say more necessary, because health is worth more than learning.” Thomas JeffersonI'm currently a Physical Education Teacher, Varsity Field Hockey and Tennis Coach at Moravia Central School District. I received my Masters of Science in Special Education and Bachelors of Science in Health and Physical Education at Syracuse University. I have completed various student teaching placements in the local Syracuse area. I was also the volunteer assistant coach for the Syracuse University Field Hockey Team during the Fall 2012 season, where we made it to the NCAA Final Four Tournament. My goal is to become a Health and Physical Educator so I can teach students to stay healthy and physically active for a lifetime. I was part of the Syracuse University Women's Field Hockey Team during the 2008 to 2011 seasons. I enjoy being a field hockey coach in order to teach young women the skills about how to become successful in team sports.“Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand.”Chinese Proverb
