I am an experienced environmental practitioner with experience on large energy, renewable energy and infrastructure projects. I have either led or was part of a larger team preparing environmental impact assessments (SEE, REF, EA) for power generation (wind, solar, coal and gas) and infrastructure projects. I have extensive experience in environmental management of projects under construction. Projects include numerous wind farms in NSW (Capital, Woodlawn, Bodangora, Collector, White Rock), Western Australia (Collgar) and in Victoria (Cherry Tree), the Moorebank Intermodal near Sydney, Wynyard Station Upgrade project undertaken by the Novo Rail Alliance, numerous critical water mains upgrade projects for Sydney Water and the decommissioning and demolition of Wallerawang power station. I am also currently engaged as the Environmental Representative for four wind farms in NSW, all which are now operational. I am also part of a team providing environmental advice for a wind farm being constructed in Victoria (Cherry Tree) and Collector Wind Farm in NSW. More recently I have written operational management plans for a number of waste facilities, including the Mortdale Resource Recovery, West Melbourne MRF, Cairncross Landfill (in progress), Eastern Creek Waste Management Facility (in progress) and Visy Glass Recycling Facility in Penrith. Other management plans have been prepared for the Southern Highland Shooting Range in NSW, a gas facility and Bungala Solar Farm, both in South Australia.I have extensive experience in due diligence projects, which has included the Power Industry GenTrader project, an environmental review of the NSW electricity networks assets as part of the lease process, high level technical red flag reviews covering various portfolios of highway / toll roads, biomass and hydropower projects in India and environmental due diligence and a large number of wind farms and solar farms in NSW, Victoria and Queensland. The environmental due diligence projects have also included assessment against aspects of Equator Principles, IFC Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation Guidelines for Confirmation of Environmental and Social Considerations. I am a trained auditor with 11 years’ auditing experience in Australia and a further 12 years’ experience auditing technical and environmental aspects of power stations in South Africa, UK and India. Audits have included assessment of compliance with management plans (construction and operation) and conditions of approval.
