About Heather V. Davis

My high school journalism teacher lovingly labelled me a button-pusher. She wasn’t wrong. But today, I would amend that to say I’m a button-pusher with a purpose. I push the buttons of companies that think they can get away with endangering consumers to save their bottom line. I push the buttons of insurance companies that write-off the value of human life. I push the buttons of pharmaceutical corporations that lie to and endanger the public. I’m a proud button-pusher. And my clients give that button-pushing a purpose. Before I graduated with honors from SMU Dedman School of Law, where I earned an Order of Barristers distinction, I was a journalist. I spent years writing about wrongs, shining light on issues some preferred to keep in the dark. And in that capacity, I learned that there is no power greater than story-telling. With the right voice, a story has immeasurable power. My clients’ stories have power—your story has power. Your story has the power to recall bad products, to change bad laws, to eliminate bad policies. Your story has the power to mete out justice, to right wrongs, to make the world safer.I’ve spent my entire legal career fighting for people across the country who have been knocked around by life, by people, by companies. I take great pride in telling their stories. I know I can’t change what happened to my clients—I’ll never be able to take away the hurt they endure. But I can be their storyteller; I can help them make their stories matter. I’m honored to be their champion. I’d be honored to be yours, too.
