I was over the Breastfeeding Peer Counciling program, and was the WIC specialist. Including those duties, I also gave immunizations, did well child exams/school physicals, STD testing, and adult preventive/family planning exams.

I served as case manager and advocate for mental health clients. I managed the LPN’s and staff over several mental health 24 hour care houses. I insured the patients received the proper medications, made appointments and did all appropriate charting for the West Virginia Waiver System. I worked as a liaison between the clients and doctors, and worked to insure that all their health needs were met.

I worked as a night RN, in charge of medicines and general duties. Those duties included answering a helpline/crisis line and developing a therapeutic rapport with the patients on the Crisis Unit where I worked. This was an interesting and enjoyable job, but several people, including myself were let go due to budget cutbacks.

I worked with mentally ill adults in a general forensic unit for the state of West Virginia. I worked as charge nurse on most days and was over all admissions, discharges, doctor appointments and general duties on the unit.

I worked with psychologically disturbed children/adolescents in a therapeutic manner. I assisted in group activities with the children and cared for their general well being and safety in an understanding, compassionate manner.

I was the secretary who was over invoicing, payroll, accounts payable and receivable. I deposited checks written to the company and did occasional errands. I used quick books, various other computer programs and I also answered the phone and directed them to the appropriate person.
