I am currently approaching my 11th year of teaching. I have worked as a paraprofessional at Plain Local Schools, a long term sub through the Stark County ESC for the MH classroom, Intervention Specialist for Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities at the Rebecca Stallman Southgate School. I also had the opportunity to work one year as the Intervention Specialist in a self-contained Emotionally Disturbed classroom at Massillon Junior High School. From there, I have been teaching at Lake Local Schools as an Intervention Specialist grades ranging from second-sixth grade. I have had many years experience with mild-severe disabilities as well as behaviors and students on the autism spectrum range. Currently, I focus my classroom on TEACCH curriculum as well as integrating Applied Behavior Analysis with my classroom as a whole and with individual students. For the 2022-2023 school year, I will be teaching sttudents in grades 2-6, moderate to intensive needs on the extended content standards in a self contained resource classroom. I also have had experience with both Ohio content standards and Ohio content standards-extended. I am currently finishing my master's program in Educational Leadership and will graduate in the middle of August and will begin studying for my principal licensure. I look forward to what the future holds and would love to have a educational leadership role in Special Education since that is where my heart is.
