Selected students of Trier University of Applied Sciences, Environmental Campus Birkenfeld, took part in "Traveling University," a program designed to tackle environmental and economic issues around the world. Our program was organized to develop an Energy and Resource Master Plan for the State of Aguascalientes, Mexico. Acting as a consultant for the municipality, state, and Secretary of Environment, we worked in partnership with local Mexican students and leaders to turn energy, water, and waste challenges into opportunities. We performed market research and site assessments, analyzed the system as a whole, and identified technical solutions that would generate viable business models.
