Sensalearn is a private company aiming towards helping students diagnosed with dyslexia or showing the hallmark signs of dyslexia. Sensalearn uses tutors in both a private setting and classroom pull-out program to give students the tools to be successful in their classroom and studies. Tutors use the Slingerland method of teaching letters, spelling, and phonics. This allows students to use all their senses to learn. Tutors and administration work closely together to meet student needs with premade lessons.

Oak Forest Elementary, formely with the Memphis City Schools District - now known as the Shelby County School District, is a Title 1 International Baccalaureate School. During my tenure at Oak Forest, I worked with grade level colleagues and administration to bring Oak Forest through the application and first few years of the IB induction. We created engaging, project-based units to cover the Common Core State Standards. During my time, I was on several committees and worked with colleagues to make the school a more inviting and exciting place to work.
