Responsible for all aspects of the annual Fight For Air Climb signature fundraising event held in Downtown Des Moines. The Fight For Air Climb has an annual fundraising goal of $350,000 with a participant goal of 1,400+ and team goal of 180+. Revenue from this event is made up of corporate sponsorship, event registration fees, and peer to peer fundraising. Set weekly and monthly benchmarks and strategize to meet or exceed event goals. Utilize internal systems and event management software to run weekly event reports, maintain the event website, email regional constituents, and process donations. Annually create and implement campaign wide communications plan for the event that includes: social media organic social media, paid social media, printed promotional pieces, mass mailings, event flier distribution, corporate team launches, press releases, media spots + interviews, TV and OTT airing commercial, recruiting and coaching emails, mass text messaging, individual phone call campaigns, and event booths. Responsible for all phases of event logistics, including supply inventory and ordering, vendor communication and placement, volunteer assignments, race packet prep and assembly, race time and wave assignments, event set up and tear down. Recruit, train, and manage up to three event interns per semester. Recruit, organize, and train 250+ day of event volunteers for each campaign.Created and organize the Annual Operation Holiday Cookie Delivery which incorporates corporate volunteerism, in kind donations from mission partners, and outreach to metro wide first responders. Maintain relationships with team captains, high level fundraisers, corporate contacts, and event volunteers; engaging them year round with the event and the mission of the Lung AssociationWork directly with external event vendors to negotiate contracts and arrange deliverables (media, food, timing, t-shirts + branded items, venues, cleaning) before, during, and post event.
