I work on an ACT team providing treatment, psychosocial rehabilitation, and case management services. The team assists individuals with co-occurring, mental health and substance disorders with a range of identified needs including basic needs, medication management, obtaining appropriate housing, applying for benefits, assistance with education or employment, and managing activities of daily living. Downtown IMPACT works towards preventing hospitalization, improving quality of life, and improving each individual's level of functioning.We follow a housing first model and use a variety of evidence-based best practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Illness Management and Recovery (IMR), Seeking Safety and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to assist our clients in improving coping skills and developing a better quality of life by making and maintaining changes in unhealthy behavior and thinking.
