On interchange from the Federal Government, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, and collaborating closely with numerous SOI staff, I led on the development and submission of numerous proposals to support new and existing programming with the organization. Working closely with the Alumni Program I co-led delegations to the International Marine Protected Areas Conference (Santiago Chile) and the Arctic Circle Assembly (Reykjavik, Iceland). I also contributed significantly to the development of a Human Resource Handbook for the Students on Ice Foundation, and the drafting of operational procedures.

Working within the Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Division I contributed to climate change adaptation policy and program development, provided secretariat support to the National multi-stakeholder committee under Canada’s Adaptation Platform, was responsible for planning and reporting, and provide policy advice on Northern files. Additionally, I worked on a special project to improve dissemination and impact of products produced through the grants and contribution program run within the division.
