"Science in the News" is a seminar series organized by the Yale Science Diplomats where we gave presentations to the general public of New Haven, CT and high school science classes. I was a speaker in a section called "Getting Shot May Save Your Life: How Vaccines Work" and a group leader for "Are we Really Related to Earthworms? Evolution: Questions & Controversies".

Biomedical Science in the Media was a Residential Seminar course I designed and taught for a group of non-science majors at Yale. We discussed issues from cloning in Jurassic Park to the infectious disease epidemic in Contagion and the ramifications of contentious subjects such as GMOs and vaccines. Students reported on science in the media and had the opportunity to create media for a primary scientific study of their choosing.
