Newton, LLC is an engineering and end-to-end product development company specializing in aerospace industry solutions. Projects I worked on with Newton include:Rapid Rigging and Derigging Airdrop System (U.S. Army) • Tested, analyzed, and refined an airbag damping apparatus for a proposed U.S. Army Rapid Rigging and Derigging Airdrop System. • Operated heavy machinery for testing and utilized MATLAB for data analysis.Roman Space Telescope (NASA) • Designed, modeled, prototyped, and tested a torque tool for the integration of the coronagraph instrument on the instrument carrier for NASA's Roman Space Telescope. • Modeled and 3D-printed nodes of the instrument carrier and worked closely with the thermal blanket team to assist in the design of the thermal blanket layout to protect the instrument carrier. • Worked closely with a wide variety of engineers to discuss integration methods, spatial allocations, and testing setup and procedures.Ocean Color Instrument (NASA) • Tested, fine-tuned, and delivered ground support equipment to Goddard Space Flight Center to support the Ocean Color Instrument project. • Worked on fabrication, construction, and documentation such as work orders and proof tests.Linear Etalon Imaging Spectral Array (NASA) • Assembled and tested components of the LEISA infrared spectral imager for NASA. • Coordinated with various groups of specialized engineers to integrate complex systems in a large-scale project.Nonmagnetic Turntable (Indian Space Research Organization) • Designed, assembled, and tested a turntable in conjunction with a project for the Indian Space Research Organization. • Collaborated with teammates to design, test, and refine a solution for a project with a series of complex and unique material and spatial constraints.
