• My role is to support technical needs of FOX's streaming business and support their new business opportunities, keeping ahead of 12 squads of Software Engineers with all high-level designs, review low-level designs.
• VCMS tool that allowed real-time in app alerts and shortened publish time to seconds from several minutes, inclusive of closed-captioning, transcode, ad slicing, and HLS ladders, hot folder ingestion via Quantel to.
• Show and event management tool to help discoverability of videos, inclusive of Gracenote and sports data ingestion.
• EPG management tool used for 220 affiliates and Digital Only shows and bonus feeds that was event-centric, using ESNI data
• Blackout management tool for regionalized sports that publishes to both VDMS and Yospace

• My goal in this position was to see content released anywhere, anytime, on any device. To do that, I️ needed to innovate on content protection tech so it could reduce studio risk. Projects included:
• ChinaDRM: Author of protection standards and testing methodology for all devices licensing content in China. Negotiated ongoing technical collaboration that goes beyond content protection.
• Designed a cloud-based watermarking distribution system that has now been productized by Aspera and Irdeto that allows the business to seamlessly track where rips are sourced from on key formats: IMF, ProRes, HD50.
• Audit early window licensees for compliance to content protection standards, test, write reports and propose business strategies to reduce risk, where gaps exist or piracy patterns persist.
• Investigated breached titles, track several elements and provide strategy to reduce risk and strengthen enforcement.
• Successfully negotiated robustness standards for AACS2

• Cloud Computing – Early adopter (2009), identified an opportunity, executed POC w/ 2 vendors, selected Amazon, and completed migration. Enterprise VPC followed. Result: $1MM annual savings annuallySecurity remediation.
• Secure Content (Watermarking/DRM) – Achieved what no one had yet done, session-based Watermarking and DRM that is playable on all major platforms for award screenings. Result: $2MM annual savings.
• Site and app framework that included Social Listening, SEO, Community Management, Media Testing, Success Metrics, early screenings and feedback generation activities, Buzz Aggregation, Influencer outreach.
• Child Online Protection and Privacy Act (COPPA) and EU Safe Harbor Compliance Implemented site framework inclusive of player, games, file upload, social login, and other reusable web services leveraged by marketing.
• Intl B2B Portal – Global rollout to 7 markets of a sale communication, asset distribution, and pre release video viewing portal.

• Architect Data Center (2002) – HA hosting infrastructure for high traffic sites, soup-to-nuts setup. Identified Managed Service Provider to manage ongoing operations, implemented cage, moved and configured all.
• Digital Asset Management - Gathered initial business requirements across 7 business units, reviewed several vendor offerings, designed architecture to support Film groups' DAM needs based on Artesia technology.
