I am a goal-oriented professional who is passionate about advocating for patients and improving healthcare quality and safety with experience managing client health needs as well as delivering education in clinical and legislative forums. I am a proven collaborator and effective motivator; and am professional, personable, and articulate in presentation with a history of efficiently navigating difficult situations to successful resolution. In addition to my professional pursuits, I have been passionately advocating for unidentified persons in the healthcare setting. I recently had the opportunity to present twice at the Emergency Nurse Association National Conference in September 2018 on the care of unidentified persons in the Emergency Department and how hospital policies and procedures can be improved to facilitate the identification of the patient and expedite family notification utilizing current technology. I have been working with my State Representative on bedside identification legislation in Pennsylvania. I have also been collaborating with the Chief Quality Officer of UPMC on developing and implementing system-wide policy changes in regard to unidentified persons and have been recognized by the Allegheny County Council for initiating an In Case of Emergency Awareness Campaign, all in honor of my late son, Gregory. Experience includes: • Patient Advocacy • Public Speaking• Patient Education• Coordination of Care• Extensive clinical experience • Emergency Department/Critical Care•
