Solely responsible for maintaining and updating records entered on NCIC (National Crime Information Center) system including wanted persons, missing persons, stolen vehicles and other various stolen items. Performed monthly validations to these entries by coordinating with detectives working cases and citizens who reported items as stolen or missing to ensure accuracy on the system. Removed inaccurate information, adds important details about people or items to entries and clear entries that are no longer necessary to be on the system.Developed, updated and maintained the dispatch training manual for the department which includes training for new dispatchers on using NCIC, CAD (computer aided dispatch), 911 calls and administrative calls. Responsible for training new dispatchers to ensure they were competent and had resources available to them for whatever calls they could be taking at any given time. Answered 911 calls in a calm and collected manner, gathered information from complainants about crimes or other emergencies, relayed information effectively to police and fire departments to ensure a quick response.Answered administrative lines and connected callers with appropriate person either through phone or by dispatching a unit to them.
