About Heather Gagnon

I have a passion to work within the public health field. ..............................................................................................................................................My experiences have guided me to pursue a career as a public health professional focusing on increasing the health of populations using epidemiological data to create evidence informed policies and programs................................................................................................................................................I have a background in both the sciences and social sciences, which has provided me the opportunity to become familiar with both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. I have a Masters of Public Health (MPH). Through the MPH program, I developed expertise and furthered my breadth and depth of knowledge in the areas of data analysis and assessment; program planning, implementation, and evaluation; and the development of public health policies. ..............................................................................................................................................Currently, I work with Alberta Health Services in Infection Prevention and Control as a member of the Surveillance and Standards team.
