We live in uncertain and complex times. I am committed to a decolonising journey with awareness-based practices to co-create and meet the current challenges of life in Families, Schools, Communities, and all systems we have created.I want to contribute to creating, socially and environmentally just and equitable communities and Social and Economic Eco-systems where children, youth and young people are held at the core of why we do what we do.I collaborate with groups and individuals who wish to gain insight and find ways to communicate that gets to the heart of matters with a healing intention that brings joy through taking steps toward shared, desired futures. More people notice that disconnections from our planet, one another & within our Selves, act as blind spots to our current reality. The results of these disconnects & blind-spots create results that almost nobody wants, every day, in the systems we continue to create.eg: Government, Education, Health, Technology, Economy, Environment, Business and Communities.Every day I choose to do my best to stay conscious my actions are aligned with my intentions. this sounds simple but it is not at all easy. Everyday I must pay attention to where I put my attention. The material world is seductive & I, like most of us, can be "lulled to sleep" by distractions. My intention is to strengthen my relationships where all people, animals, birds fish & plants flourish. If I'm asked what do you do?.. I attempt with: I try to build relationships & work together to create a 'social ecology' where everyone can have a flourishing future. for me this is the way forward for my children, my children's children and for 7 generations coming. We must collaborate to work together on difficult problems that we wish to transform.“The crisis of our time isn’t just a crisis of a single leader, organisation, country, or conflict. The crisis of our time reveals the dying of an old social structure and way of thinking, an old way of institutionalising and enacting collective social forms. Most cross-institutional change processes fail because they miss the starting point: co-sensing across boundaries. We need infrastructures to facilitate this process on a sustained level across systems. Because this understanding doesn't yet exist we create results that nobody wants. Interest groups go participate to maximise their special interests against the whole, instead of engaging practitioners in the larger system in a process of sensing and innovating together." C. Otto Scharmer, Theory U: Learning from the Future as It Emerges"

Social Ecology Strategist. Systems Awareness Transformation, Foresight Consultant And FuturistSelf Employed Jan 1998 - PresentAustraliaI support leaders to sense and see themselves in systems and their part in creating the systems they wish to see. I love discovering new allies and accomplices for partnerships and collaboration. We each have contributed to the creation of many systems that are stuck between past ways of doing things that don't work in the present reality. To often we see the future and continue to try to improve things by trying to do things that we did in the past.. only better! then we look to our horror to see nothing has changed.. Some of us are happy with small gains.. within the status quo.. and some of us know that this means just putting out spot fires while the Wild Fire continues to Rage and send out even more sparks to create more fires! We must find a way to face the truth of what is really going on..whats in the big fire? Our actions from the past have impacted our lives and the lives of others both human and non human on our Earth with unintended consequences.. but we cant excuse ourselves going forward because the evidence is clear.. things must change. I love co-facilitate transformative practices to for organisations to take steps toward the future they wish to see for right now and for the next seven generations. People long to belong, and do things that are creative and much for purposes other then thier own individual needs.. we need each other for this. With others I love to support people to collaborate together to build deep and wide social systems awareness that inspires others to create prototypes that become the norm. We all want to live in communities that flourish. I hope to collaborate with people far and wide who long to transform Social and Economic systems at a micro and macro level. For fun, I also teach puppetry with my hand made Australian animal puppets, to reconnect us with our deep biophilic senses. The intention to inspire the deep love of the natural world, even more than we think we think we already do! -
Social Systems Transformation/ ResearcherUniversity Of Melbourne Feb 2001 - Nov 2011Melbourne, AustraliaI initiated and collaborated in a range of projects at the Centre for Equity in Early Childhood at Unimelb for over 15 years. My specific interests were in humanising educations systems and making social inequities visible. I co-designed and Organised conferences and Workshops with a focus on creative approaches to rethinking and challenging education models that perpetuated and colluded into environments and teaching methods that accepted the business models and homogenised methods of Education. My focus has always been to use creative and embodied methods to create shifts in thinking and acting with emphasis on humanising the systems of education and health settings. My deeper interests were always in Systemic Change. I have led and collaborated on projects with a focus on Social (systemic) Equity, in Education at Local and State Government funded programs, Schools and NGO's. My deep connection in the Kimberley with elder mentors led me to carry a life long commitment to sustainable Structural and Systemic Change in Gov, NGOs and anyone wishing to collaborate with First Nations People people anywhere in Australia. -
