As a child, helping medical providers increase their revenue and solving billing and coding mysteries was not a job I ever envisioned myself loving. I started (and finished) my college degree in photography, after years of focusing all of my studies on art. I landed my first billing job while I was in college as a way to make extra money but was surprised to find I really enjoyed the work. I worked there for a few years as a biller, learning all there is to know about medical office management and the revenue cycle from front to back. I think the creativity lent me a helping hand that is not always found in the strict billing world and helped me with creating processes and solutions.
