Worked under a cooperative agreement with the National Park Service (NPS) to create and quality control digital geologic-GIS data by digitizing from georeferenced paper maps and converting existing digital data from third party sources to the NPS Geologic Resources Inventory Geology-GIS Geodatabase Data Model. Created FGDC-compliant metadata for digital geologic-GIS data. Created programs using Python and ArcObjects (VBA and VB .NET) for streamlining metadata, GIS data creation and quality control procedures. Trained co-workers, supervised interns, and produced documentation of procedures covering the use of advanced ArcGIS functionality.
