I love desserts...and what better way to guarantee a dessert a day than to own a Frozen Yogurt Shoppe! My dear friend, Kandy Broderick, and I put our heads and our hearts together in March of 2011 and by the following month, we had a space and a plan. I'm proud to say I was a part of the best FroYo shoppe in Anchorage, and perhaps even the US! We poured only quality products, we ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS advertised what we were putting in them, and we minimized "artificial" in most… Show more I love desserts...and what better way to guarantee a dessert a day than to own a Frozen Yogurt Shoppe! We were the only shoppe in town making our own yogurts and sorbets; our SoYo Original Creations made up about 40-50% of our full pipeline! We had an incredible staff - a little shy of 20 young adults ranging from 14-21. I called them Team Awesome and, for the most part, they lived up to their name! :-)I will miss owning this little shoppe, but I am proud of what we created and I am confident I made a difference in the lives of the employees we had the pleasure of supervising. When I moved to Juneau in 1993, I quickly realized that steady employment in the little city would mean government work. Having a training and development background naturally led me to the State's personnel department.
