Database design and support specializing in FileMaker Pro.

Design, develop and implement custom database solutions including vehicle reservation system, locksmith key inventory, electronic term reports, teleco/switchboard tracking, asset tracking, support tracking and more. Technologies include SQL Server, FileMaker Pro and Access as both back-end and application or web front-ends. Responsible for all aspects of the project from installation and configuration of servers, planning and coding, to training and support. Create custom code to bridge and move data between enterprise databases not designed to communicate. Backup to department Assistant Director; technical liaison to administrative offices. Primary support to all campus enterprise applications including installation, upgrades, customization, training, database backups. Provide Citrix support, configure servers, install and maintain all server applications.

Design, develop, and implement a campus-wide inventory database using SQL Server back-end and Access 2000 front-end. Database used to track all campus computer related equipment. Establish procedures to ensure security and integrity of equipment. Responsible for the entire project including business analysis, requirements, design, coding, processes, testing, implementation, training, documentation and data integrity. Project lead/manager in instituting (SCT’s) Web based (NT server) online registration and grading for the college. Since deemed project lead, approval was granted and action was taken within only one month. Key change agent for paradigm shift in how college functions (registration, advisement, grading) will occur. Also, work as a technical instructor of Focus (4th geneneration language used as campus report writer) for an administrative audience. Programmer/Analyst (11/95 to 11/99)Develop and maintain SCT’s IA Student Information System (the college's administrative system), in a mainframe MVS/COBOL/VSAM setting. Sole technical and functional support to the Bursar’s Office. Project leader for the campus wide conversion of FOCUS (report writer/decision support system) to SIS Plus (Y2K) compatibility. Co-project leader in the conversion of base student information system to a Year 2000 system. Other projects involve Web/HTML applications, FOCUS programming and presenting at the national SIS user conference.

Member of COBOL maintenance teams in both on-line and batch environments (Aecclaims & IRM). Assignments include maintenance of current COBOL programs as well as the development of new code. Run DB2/SQL queries and modify tables as part of production fixes (date/time, commit/interval & commit/restart tables). Responsible for providing production support, responding to on-call production errors and documentation of procedures for the appropriate fixes. Wrote numerous NDM jobs, modified and created JCL and was responsible for the system batch cycle. *Founding member of AETONE.

Computer Site Technician Level 2 (12/92 to 05/93)Computer Site Technician Level 1 (06/91 to 12/92)Provided operational support for Aetna Health Plans and Hartford Computer Center processing. Responsibilities encompassed entire AHP MVS, DOS & VM mainframe processing utilizing all software supporting the environment (i.e. TSO, UCC7, Omegamon). In addition, was responsible for: system recoveries, providing DBAR support, manipulation of system performance, and responding to customer requests.Computer Operator Level 2 (04/90 to 06/91)Computer Operator Level 1 (11/89 to 04/90) Handled customer requests for tape information, transports, and manipulating retention periods. Acquired sound working knowledge of tape operations. Responsible for tape library. Worked on the STK Automated Cartridge System and learned all software (i.e. Netview) to monitor system status.
