Heather Carr is a L&D in HE| Youth leadership development projects & programme lead| Events Management| Mentor & Performance Coach| Wellbeing & Apprenticeship Champion. Colleagues describe her as "I have collaborated with Heather for the last 5 years on Professional and Personal Development programmes for students. Heather is an enthusiastic and motivating champion of the importance of soft skills and emotional agility - not just to enhance the student experience, but to help them get the most out of their learning at university which often comes at a time when they are also learning about themselves and gaining their independence. Heather is creative, dynamic and energetic. The students clearly appreciate her work - she also mentors Student Ambassadors - and her teams have always praised her exceptional organisation, as well as tireless drive in the many events and opportunities she brings. It is a pleasure for me to work with Heather as she is clear on what she wants the students to develop (always informed by feedback from them), and is open to the methods in which it is done. Heather - herself a trained actor - has joined in with the Forum Theatre skills practice, and as a trainer, has also contributed to facilitation. Since working with Heather on the Student Development programmes within Brunel Business School, students themselves have gone on to achieve excellent work placements including BA and Universal, as well as attaining places in their desired institutions for further study. When in these posts they have remembered the opportunities offered by Heather's programmes and have sought to open those up in their current organisations. It is a pleasure to continue to collaborate with such a strong leader in a field that still needs promotion - and seeing the real results of our efforts."
