About Heather Learn Pharm D, Mha, Bcscp

I have extensive clinical, administrative, medication safety and drug diversion experience. Prior to moving to New York I have served as both a clinical pharmacist and through advancement the medication safety/ drug diversion prevention officer in my previous organization. Currently I work as a critical care clinical pharmacist at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY. During my role as the medication safety/ drug diversion prevention officer I was tasked with overseeing the security and proper use of all controlled substances and oversaw the system wide drug diversion task force. Through investigation, reporting and collaboration I was successful at both detecting and preventing the misuse and abuse of controlled substances within the health system. During my tenor I also implemented and oversaw a robust and rigorous drug screening program for all health system employees. Our drug diversion prevention and protection program was developed to be robust with the goal of ensuring our patients safety and wellbeing.
