Editorial design responsibilities require collaborating remotely with editors in their respective cities to visually execute concepts and narratives into print; photo research, selection and sourcing, including communicating with external photographers and agencies when necessary; working under art directors’ guidance in order to ensure design aesthetics and functionality are working seamlessly while adhering to Where® brand standards. Advertising production duties include translating materials and directives provided by both sales associates and clients into strong visual solutions; setting/proofing copy; implementing changes in order to meet client’s needs; pre-press preparation of files according to printer specifications.

Designed and produced newspaper advertising for a wide variety of clients within twelve weekly newspaper publications throughout Michigan, as well as special supplements, newsletters, menus and annual reports. Lead designer for weekly Tri-County Citizen publication (1 year). In addition to weekly newspaper responsibilities, developed identity package for new local restaurant and refreshed menus for an existing local restaurant; developed digital interactive business document to improve work-flow efficiency within the company.
