Heather is a Professional Member of USA Gymnastics and current in her USAG Safety Certification. Heather began her gymnastics involvement when she was young and was involved in competitive gymnastics for 6 years. In Fall of 1999, Heather began teaching gymnastics classes at a church building Middlefield, and then officially began the Emeth program in the year 2000. In Fall of 2001 Emeth Gymnastics moved into the first location of its own in Burton, where Heather continued with it as program owner and director and brought it to a size of 200 students. Heather was one of the coaches of Emeth’s first competitive girls team in the year 2003-2004 that earned the title of Level 4 State Champions! In 2005 Heather met and married Jim and since then has owned and operated Emeth Gymnastics together with him. In 2006 they moved Emeth Gymnastics to Middlefield as a full size gymnastics facility and brought it to a size of nearly 300 regular students, including boys and girls competitive USAG teams. It is now the largest and finest facility in Geauga County, and has produced many State Champions. Heather's coaching certifications include KAT certification (Kinder Accreditation for Teachers), MELPD certification (Movement Education and Lesson Plan Development), as well as completion of Jeff Metzger’s Small Business BOOT Camp for gym owners. Heather has attended multiple State, Regional, and National Congresses and Routine Clinics, and received training in spotting, skill progressions, choreography, sports psychology, competitive, TOPS, and Elite coaching from many of our country’s highest level Elite and Olympic coaches.
