Hello, my name is Heather Gerber, I'm a graduate from Purdue University. I doubled majored in Retail Management and Apparel Design and I also minored in Art Studio Design and got a certificate in Entrepreneurship. I've won the 2017 YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund Scholarship, which gave me the opportunity to take a summer internship at Macy's in New York City! From this internship, I was offered a full-time position as an Assistant Designer for Macy's Karen Scott brand. With this experience, I have learned and grown so much as a young designer, and gained so much experience to help further my education, career, and network. Now, I'm working on creating my own clothing brand called, HTHRI design women's wear clothing and work with manufacturers to develop my designs with high-quality materials. My vision is to make a conscious effort to support the livelihood of the workers who handmake each of my designs. I want to value the ethical practices of slow-fashion and sustainability by only using organic, natural, and recycled materials throughout my business!I have officially launched my new website, and I couldn't be more thrilled to share it with you! Go check it out ~ www.hthr.com/And please reach out, I would love to connect with you!
