My third co-op block was primarily spent assisting on a Process/Design Excellence project addressing the use of anti-counterfeiting technology on solid dose pill forms. This included assisting in the creation of a “toolbox” form used to select a proper anti-counterfeiting technology for a given solid dose tablet and establishing a business case/financial analysis that became the benchmark for company-wide Process Excellence projects. In addition to my primary project, I assisted in in the harmonization of process/cleaning validation documentation to conform with a new global company structure and in the creation of IQ/OQ/PQ, technology transfer and reference report documentation.

This was the first of my co-op blocks. In addition to my daily tasks of managing supplier information and training company personnel on the requisitioning systems, I had the opportunity to work on several larger scale projects:-I developed and summarized the results of multiple RFI/RFP’s while assisting with reviews between McNeil purchasers and external suppliers.-I developed a process of retaining supplier contracts in both hard and soft copy formats through the development of a unique numbering system.-I developed multiple functional purchase order request forms based on the specific requirements of core Requisitioners and implemented the availability of these company wide forms.
