Independent contractor providing outside sales for the Scobie showroom at the San Francisco GiftCenter. As a sub-contractor, represented the Museum of Modern Art wholesale division and other lines of gift and stationery products. Territory comprised of the Bay Area, Northern California and then Western Washington. Called on and managed over 100 retail store accounts. By prospecting new clients, doubled the number of accounts in three months.

Managed the Customer Service department for a manufacturer of wheelchair positioning belts. Hired, trained, and supervised staff in customer service and inbound/outbound sales. Marketing, including assisting in catalog development and participating in trade shows. Office duties, including answering multi-line phones, entering orders, invoicing, and filing.

Supervised a department with 2075 Sq. Ft. and a sales volume of $7,000 to $20,000 per day. Head buyer for all categories in Gift Department. Oversaw a complete remodel of the department, including working with the architect on design and working with contractors. Facilitated inventory tracking and financial reports. HR duties such as hiring and scheduling department personnel. Marketing for the department, including creating displays, developing mailing lists, and event planning.
