In 1997, I moved into the consulting work with Integrated Marketing Solutions (IMS), I spent nearly 20 years with them and was promoted several times. IMS focused on retail consulting for manufacturers. Their target clients were the manufacturers on the Fortune 500 list. Over time we expanded this to include retailers too.Next in 2016, with IMS closing down due to the owners well deserved retirement, I decided to switch the direction of my career out of consulting and to a managed security service provider, Infogressive. Infogressive was on a mission to provide world-class cybersecurity services. It was founded upon a single focus: Information security. We reduced risk by creating defense-in-depth networks and we assisted in implementing best practices. The last 3 years were focused on stability, recurring revenue and acquisition preparation.Finally, in 2020 Infogressive was acquired by Ascend Technologies. A Chicago based MSP who was looking to expand their business to include cybersecurity services.
