Heather is a multi-award winning Social Entrepreneur who founded ZIMSCOT and established Zimbabwe House Scotland. She became the First and the only black Woman member of Scotland's Diplomatic Consular Corps and the first Honorary Consul for the Republic of Zimbabwe with responsibility for Scotland in 2019. She is passionate about transforming communities & strengthening economies in Scotland & Zimbabwe/Africa by creating links, unique opportunities & supporting those wanting to invest, trade and travel between Scotland/ Zimbabwe/Africa. Heather introduced Consular Outreach Programme for the first time in Scotland to help the Zimbabwean Diaspora have easy access to essential services, serving them money and time associated with travelling to the embassy in London. She founded Zimbabwe House Scotland, a go to hub and a one stop shop for Zimbabwean products/services, business, culture & heritage to give Zimbabweans in Scotland easy access to products & services that will enhance their lives and wellbeing. She is the winner of The Black Scottish Awards, Contribution to the Black Community Awards 2024 and the Scottish Women in Business, Woman of Influence Award. In 2023 she was awarded the Oustanding Woman of the Year Award and she was listed on the Top 100 Reputable Africans by Reputation Poll International. She has many more accolades to her name including the Prestigious Awards International Best Female Role Model and the African Achievers Awards Diaspora Impact, House of Lords, London 2019.Heather is the Head of a Chamber on Climate Chamber City, a legacy project of COP26 by Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and One Earth Global. She has succesfully created business and Cultural links between Zimbabwe and Scotland and assisted African business to attend COP28 Dubai Trade Mission. Heather is a multi-talented woman with a rich background in film and television, from a qualified broadcast journalist to a travel journalist and supporting artist who has been featured on television programmes and films including the BBC Scotland series, River City; the Amazon Prime Series, Outlander and Netflix Film, Princess Switch Switched Again. She is currently producing African Inspired docu series aimed at promoting tourism, cultural and climate exchange. Her upcoming programs include, Born in Zimbabwe and Moments with Heather.Her Philanthropic work includes a School meals fundraising initiative. She launched a thousand fruit tree Planting project between Zimbabwe and Scotland. She has an ambition to mobilising resources to build a Medical Centre in rural Zimbabwe.
