I'm responsible for providing and implementing overall digital marketing strategy for clients across multiple channels. On a day-to-day basis, I manage clients' social media accounts, perform search engine optimization (SEO), oversee content strategy and assist with media campaigns. I also manage the company's blog, usually writing one to two blogs per week on industry trends.

I worked daily with Chamber partners to promote their business through advertising and marketing (online and traditional). I implemented a social media strategy as well as managed the Twitter and Facebook accounts daily; managed the email marketing problem; created content for the Chamber's website; and generated content for the Chamber's blog on a weekly basis. I also assisted with production of the Chamber's TV show, writing scripts and scheduling interviews with members of the community and Chamber partners.

At the Presbyterian Night Shelter, I recruited, trained and maintained a volunteer base of more than 250 volunteers. I conducted tours of the campus to donors and volunteers as well as coordinated the volunteer calendar for the shelter's four facilities. One of my biggest achievements was developing and managing the "Adopt-a-Client" program, where I helped furnish more than 50 apartments for clients moving out of the shelter.My other responsibilities included managing social media accounts, such as Facebook and Twitter; writing and editing press releases, media advisories and quarterly newsletters; assisting in securing and managing in-kind donations; writing and editing private and foundation grants; and organizing and fulfilling speaker's bureau requests.

At the Sandbox, I managed the media contact list, created text for the newsletter, generated copy for the website and managed the event calendar.

As the Health Reporter, I produced five to seven stories weekly for the paper, which had a daily circulation of about 52,000 and Sunday circulation of about 72,000. I covered the city's hospitals, new health care technology, heath care trends, religion and police beats. My key accomplishments included creating a three-part series on organ donation, covering the city's first-ever pediatric transplant surgery and establishing a company-wide health club during lunch hours to increase awareness about diabetes and encourage healthy lifestyles.

Interned for all three branches of the Star-Telegram and covered general assignments.-Wrote three page-one stories. Topics included in-depth piece on student loans, a feature story on fitness boot camps and an in-depth piece on the re-branding of the University of Texas at Arlington.

As a reporter I covered the campus police beat which included campus crime statistics, student and faculty assaults and city crime. I wrote three to five stories per week. Key accomplishments included covering the university's first-ever student murder, receiving Society of Professional Journalists award (First Place Online News Reporting for coverage of student's death) and receiving Texas Intercollegiate Press Association award (Second Place News Story for coverage of Students death)As news editor I managed staff of 13 reporters and assigned story ideas and beats. I also edited the reporters' first drafts and proofread final copies before the paper went to press. Key accomplishments included receiving Society of Professional Journalists award (Second Place for Online News Reporting)
